A lil' late, but Halo 3: ODST has dropped into stores
And to those who pre-ordered the game, enjoy the bad ass-ery of Sgt. Johnson.
I meant to put this up sooner, but I had a celebratory comic planned, which is now delayed because the friend who was supposed to help lost his Halo 3 disc.
I'll try to get it done soon.

So anyway... fight through New Mombasa in either the campaign mode or in the awesome Firefight mode. Play, play to your heart's content... until Halo: Reach come out.
(Remember to keep those discs handy to get into the beta)

Also to some, be warned. There's been reports of disc read errors.

And remember fellow Halo fans. Halo Waypoint is launching in a few more weeks (rumored to be sometime in November) along with Halo Legends (as an anime junkie, I'm excited).

Since Microsoft believes that the so-called expansion feels more like a full fledge game. The retail price for the game will be $60, there will also be a Collector's Edition for $100.

As a pre-order incentive. Players who reserve and/or order their copy in advance, will get exclusive DLC in the form of our favorite bad ass marine sergeant, Sgt. Avery Johnson.
The DLC allows you to play as Sgt. Johnson in the game's Firefight mode.
For those who think Johnson's bad ass-ery warrants his own game, this may be the closest thing you'll get (for now).

Ok... For those who were living under a rock.
- Even though it's been utterly defeated in every category it was nominated for, Halo 3 managed to snag G-Phoria's 2008 Game of the Year.
- Bungie will have a converter tool that'll render your film clips into video files so you can post it on youtube or something like it. It's in beta testing right now, so anyone who just bought a video capture card; return it now.

Now onto recent news...
Right now, E3 is happening. And Microsoft has shown their stuff.
And Halo 3: ODST is among the stuff shown, with gameplay footage and all.
As any true fan knows by now, the game will center on the ODST troops between Halo 2 and Halo 3, and you play as various individuals throughout the game.
Also a new Halo game is announced, Halo Reach. Not much is revealed about Halo Reach other than the cinematic trailer used to announce it. But it's shipping next year.

Halo 3: ODST will feature:
- Open world exploration
- The return of the Halo: CE pistol
- A co-op mode called 'Firefight', which is the Halo version of Gears of War 2's Horde mode
- A 2nd disc with all the maps from the Heroic, Legenday, and Mythic packs; along with 3 new maps for Halo 3 multiplayer (Citadel, Heretic, & Longshore)
- A beta key for Halo Reach

Halo 3: ODST will drop into stores on September 22 2009.

Also a personal note.
I know it's been awhile and should've said this sooner... but I will no longer be making the Halo Kitties comics. I appreciate the praises, but the process is just too consuming of time, energy, and computer power. But don't despair, I will still bring on the funny Halo comics, using screenshots from Halo 3's theatre mode. And I might need help in the future making these comics, so I'll be sure to post whenever I need it.

THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW!!!
There is a harmful file going around. It causes your X-Box 360 to freeze and [in some cases, I hear] get RROD (Red Ring of Death). It comes in the form of some stranger wanting you to see a screenshot they took. The source has been stopped, but the file has been already downloaded (and no doubt, put to use) already.
So if you get such a message from someone you don't know; For your 360's sake... DON'T OPEN IT, AND DELETE IT ASAP!!!

2) Got an awesome video of Uber Pwnage but no video capture card?
No X-Box 360 to play it on?
Don't want to use a camcorder to record?

They can convert your film clips and post it on the net for all to see. You'll have to sign up for an account, but doing that and the services they provide are free.
Just be sure the video is in your Fileshare and to provide the proper info when uploading.

3) In order to boost activities even further. I've been thinking about starting a Features Section for Forge, Custom Games, Machinema, etc. There's stuff out there that deserves attention, and this Features Section aims to do that. Might be monthly, bi-weekly, haven't decided on that time gap yet.

So yes, this is the 1 month anniversary of the Halo 3 release.
What's the results?

- $170 Million on the first day
- $300 Million after the first week
- The game even grabed the #1 spot on Japan's charts for a week after release in the country. (I mean, Japan, that's an accomplishment there).
- October 2007 box office movie sales suffered, studios blame Halo 3 for this
